Michael Byrne (CMPCP, Faculty of Music) is a PhD candidate exploring creativity and ageing in the narrative works of The Royal Ballet. Using the reconstruction of Helpmann's 'Miracle in the Gorbals' and 'Adam Zero' as central case studies, his research analyses the embodied histories of senior dancers and the intergenerational transmission of knowledge in (re)performance.
